On June 28th, the Dutch telecommunications operator, KPN, presented, together with Rijkswaterstaat, the proof of concept developed by ASIMOB on two national highways in the Netherlands. As part of this proof of concept, ASIMOB has provided data on the status of traffic signs and the detection of irregularities in the pavement with the Autonomous Road Inspector installed in two Rijkswaterstaat inspection vehicles that, in this way, complement the visual supervision of the roads that the drivers usually carry out, with continuous monitoring through Artificial Intelligence.<\/p>\n

According to the World Economic Forum, the Netherlands is the country with the best roads in the world and Rijkswaterstaat, an executive agency of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, whose aim is to promote safety, mobility and quality of life in the Netherlands, it is, in turn, one of the most innovative Administrations in terms of roads.<\/p>\n
